Appointment Information
All new clients will be offered an initial assessment of 1 hour duration to allow time to take a thorough history and to assess your presenting problem. Following this assessment, you will have the opportunity to discuss the approaches for treatment and management of your problem. Your initial treatment will also be completed at your first appointment. You may also be prescribed exercises to complete between appointments at home to assist in your treatment.
Every treatment plan is individualised to your problem and goals however generally follow up appointments will be of 30 minute duration and will be more frequent at the start of treatment and less frequently needed as you get better and progress toward your goals. If you have a complex problem involving multiple body areas that require treatment you may benefit from an extended follow up appointment and your physio will discuss this with you.
It is important to wear appropriate clothing to your physiotherapy appointment to allow the physio to observe, assess and treat the involved area of your body, for example shorts if you have knee problem. Please bring appropriate clothes with you to change into if you are unable to wear them to your appointment. if you are unsure what to wear to your appointment, please feel free to contact us and we can provide individual advice for you.
